Removals in Middlesex
Planning removals in Middlesex starts with the details of your move: what needs transporting, where it is going and how each property can be accessed.
Magnus Removals is based in Uxbridge and provides house and office removal services, with packing and storage options available. Whether you are moving locally or travelling further, send your collection and delivery details so we can assess the arrangements.

A moving plan for your property
Every move has different requirements. A flat with lift access, a family home with garage contents and an office with restricted loading hours need different preparation.
Tell us the property type, approximate inventory and preferred date. Identify substantial furniture, items that may need dismantling and anything stored outside the main rooms.
If your moving date is still uncertain, explain the likely period and any deadline. Confirmed availability and booking arrangements can then be discussed.
Choose the help you need
House and flat removals
For household moves, provide a room-by-room overview of the furniture and boxes being transported. Include appliances and contents in garages, lofts or outbuildings where relevant.
Flat moves also need floor, lift and entrance details. Let us know if the lift must be booked or if there are restrictions on moving hours.

Office removals
An office move needs an agreed inventory and a clear plan for access at both premises.
Identify desks, chairs, storage furniture and equipment, along with any building rules or loading restrictions. Confirm who is responsible for preparing equipment and reconnecting it at the destination.
Packing and storage
You can discuss packing for the whole property or selected items. Agree the materials, preparation and unpacking work required before the move.
If there is a gap between leaving one address and entering the next, ask about storage and the later delivery arrangements.

Hayes and Ruislip enquiries
Planning a move in Hayes or Ruislip? Send both postcodes and your preferred dates so we can assess the route and booking requirements.
Hillingdon and West Drayton enquiries
For a move involving Hillingdon or West Drayton, include the property type, inventory and any access restrictions at either address.
Greenford and Southall enquiries
If your move starts or ends in Greenford or Southall, tell us what needs transporting and whether packing or storage forms part of the plan.
For another nearby location, send the full collection and delivery details. Availability should be confirmed for your particular move.
Check access before moving day
Good access information helps the team plan loading and unloading.
Check where the vehicle can stop and whether any permission or parking arrangement is needed. Requirements depend on the actual address, road and building; do not assume the same rules apply throughout the region.
Tell us about:
- Stairs and floor levels.
- Lift size, availability and booking requirements.
- Narrow entrances or difficult turns.
- The distance between the vehicle and property.
- Restricted loading or moving hours.
- Key collection and destination access.
Photographs are useful if an entrance, staircase or loading position is difficult to describe.
How your move is arranged
1. Send the details
Provide the addresses, inventory, dates and access information.
2. Review the requirements
Discuss packing, furniture preparation, storage and any further assessment.
3. Agree the quotation and plan
Check the included work, terms and moving arrangements.
4. Prepare for moving day
Label boxes, separate essentials and make sure access is available as agreed.
If your inventory or circumstances change, let us know before the move.
What affects the cost?
The quotation depends on the amount being moved, the route, loading and unloading work, and any additional services.
Bedroom count helps describe a property, but the actual inventory matters more. Two similarly sized homes can contain very different amounts of furniture and boxes.
Ask for packing, storage, dismantling and other agreed work to be clearly identified in the quotation.

Middlesex removals FAQs
Do you provide removals throughout Middlesex?
Yes. We cover Middlesex, including Hayes, Ruislip, Hillingdon, West Drayton, Greenford and Southall, from our base in Uxbridge. Send your collection and delivery postcodes to check availability.
Can you move belongings from a flat?
Magnus handles flat-removal enquiries. Provide the floor level, lift details, entrance dimensions where relevant and the likely vehicle position.
Can you help with packing?
Yes. We offer full and partial packing, and packing materials can be supplied when required. Unpacking can include unpacking boxes, placing items as agreed and taking away used boxes and packing materials. Any additional cost is confirmed in your quote.
Do you provide office removals?
Magnus offers office and commercial removals. Share the inventory, premises access and any timing requirements so the work can be assessed.
What if I need storage between properties?
Yes. We have our own secure storage facilities, with storage units and containers protected by CCTV and 24-hour on-site security guards. Storage is booked weekly or monthly, you can access your belongings with at least 24 hours’ notice at no extra charge, and we arrange redelivery on a date that suits you.
Do I need to arrange parking?
Customers arrange any parking suspensions, permits or loading permissions needed at either address before moving day. We are happy to advise on what is usually required, so tell us where the vehicle can stop and how far items need to be carried.
Can you move me from Middlesex to another part of the UK?
Long distance moves are available by enquiry. Send the destination, inventory and dates so the transport and delivery plan can be assessed.
What happens if my moving date changes?
Let us know as early as possible. Charges may apply for late cancellations or changes, so tell us as soon as your plans move. If keys are delayed on the day, reasonable waiting time is not normally charged, although significant delays may be.
Are my belongings insured?
Yes. Magnus Removals is fully insured, including Public Liability and Goods in Transit cover, with a £500 excess. Items packed by our team are fully covered, boxes you pack yourself are covered if they are packed safely, and belongings in our storage are covered too. Cover is subject to the terms and limits of our policy. If anything is damaged, tell us as soon as possible, ideally within 24 to 48 hours.
