Your date is secured with a 10% deposit. The booking is confirmed once we receive it, and we then send written confirmation by email or message. The balance is paid as agreed, before or on completion.

Let us know as early as possible. Charges may apply for late cancellations or changes, so tell us as soon as your plans move. If keys are delayed on the day, reasonable waiting time is not normally charged, although significant delays may be.

We are VAT registered, and every quote clearly states whether VAT is included.

Our man and van service starts from £60 per hour, with a minimum booking of 2 hours. You can book one person or a two-person team, the driver helps with loading and unloading, and the van size is matched to the job.

We are open from 7 AM to 10 PM, every day, including weekends.

Yes. Same-day and urgent bookings are available, subject to availability, and we work evenings and weekends. Any additional charge is confirmed in your quote.

Yes. Magnus Removals is fully insured, including Public Liability and Goods in Transit cover, with a £500 excess. Items packed by our team are fully covered, boxes you pack yourself are covered if they are packed safely, and belongings in our storage are covered too. Cover is subject to the terms and limits of our policy. If anything is damaged, tell us as soon as possible, ideally within 24 to 48 hours.

Yes. We dismantle and reassemble beds, wardrobes and other suitable furniture when required. Any additional charge is included or agreed in your quote before the job.

For safety reasons we do not move or store hazardous or illegal items, gas bottles, flammable substances, certain paints or chemicals, explosives or perishable goods. Keep keys, medication and important documents with you, and discuss valuable or unusual items with us before booking.

No. We transport appliances, computers and standard office equipment, but we do not disconnect or reconnect electrical or IT equipment. Please have everything disconnected and ready before our team arrives.

Customers arrange any parking suspensions, permits or loading permissions needed at either address before moving day. We are happy to advise on what is usually required, so tell us where the vehicle can stop and how far items need to be carried.

Yes. We have our own secure storage facilities, with storage units and containers protected by CCTV and 24-hour on-site security guards. Storage is booked weekly or monthly, you can access your belongings with at least 24 hours’ notice at no extra charge, and we arrange redelivery on a date that suits you.

Yes. We offer full and partial packing, and packing materials can be supplied when required. Unpacking can include unpacking boxes, placing items as agreed and taking away used boxes and packing materials. Any additional cost is confirmed in your quote.

Yes. We provide long-distance removals throughout the UK and to Europe. Cover for European moves depends on the route and arrangement, so we confirm it with you before booking.

Collected waste is taken to authorised waste and recycling facilities, and reusable items in good condition are donated to charity where possible. Magnus Removals is a registered waste carrier, registration number CBDU 642546. We do not collect hazardous or prohibited waste such as asbestos, dangerous chemicals or other materials that need specialist disposal. Tell us about paint, gas bottles, tyres, fridges, electrical appliances or unusual items when you request a quote, so we can confirm whether we can take them.
