Business waste collection to suit your premises

Our commercial waste collection is arranged around your premises. A café fills food and general waste bins quickly, while an office mostly produces paper, card and dry recycling. Send your business postcode and we will confirm whether a regular collection is available at your address.

Your waste streams

Every business produces a different mix of waste. Tell us what you produce, such as general waste, dry recycling, paper and card or food waste, and roughly how much, so the collection can be set up around it.

Your bins

Tell us how many bins you have, their sizes, where they are kept, and whether you already have containers or need us to discuss container arrangements with you.

Your collection schedule

Collection frequency is agreed around how quickly your bins fill. If your waste levels change, tell us and we will review the arrangement with you.

HOW IT WORKS

How to arrange commercial bin collection

1. Postcode and waste assessment

Tell us your business postcode, the types of waste you produce and roughly how much.

2. Container and access check

We check your bins, where they are kept and how our team will reach them on collection day.

3. Written quote and terms

Your quote sets out the price, the collection frequency and the service terms, and states whether VAT is included.

4. Agreed start and collections

We confirm your start date and collection arrangements in writing.

Collection access and preparing your bins

  • Collection point: have bins at the agreed collection point on collection day, with clear access for our team.
  • Secure areas: if bins are behind gates or in a locked bin store, agree access details with us in advance.
  • Keep streams separate: only put the agreed waste in each bin. Recycling mixed with general waste may not be collectable as recycling.
  • Close the lids: overfilled bins can be difficult to empty safely.
  • Extra waste: tell us before collection day if you have extra waste, and we will confirm whether it can be taken and any charge.

Commercial bin removal and unwanted containers

Commercial bin removal is a different job from emptying a bin. If you have an unwanted wheelie bin or trade-waste container, for example after changing supplier, closing a site or clearing a yard, we can collect and dispose of the container itself.

To quote, we need to know:

  • who owns the bin, and that you have permission to dispose of it (bins supplied by another waste company usually belong to that company);
  • its size, material and condition;
  • whether it is empty or still contains waste.

If a bin store has built up with overflow waste, we can clear it in a single visit as part of our one-off business clearance service.

What affects collection costs?

  • the waste stream, and how many bins of each size you need;
  • how heavy the waste is;
  • collection frequency;
  • access to the bins;
  • the length and terms of the arrangement.

We are VAT registered, and every quote clearly states whether VAT is included. Nothing is agreed until you have seen the price and terms in writing.

Workplace recycling and waste records

In England, businesses must separate their waste into dry recyclables (plastic, metal, glass, paper and card), food waste and non-recyclable waste. The rules apply from 31 March 2025, and micro-firms with fewer than 10 full-time equivalent employees have until 31 March 2027 (GOV.UK workplace recycling guidance). Booking a collection does not on its own make a business compliant; waste still needs to be separated correctly.

Magnus Removals is a registered waste carrier, registration number CBDU 642546. Collected waste is taken to authorised waste and recycling facilities, and reusable items in good condition are donated to charity where possible.

Businesses that pass on waste must keep a record of the transfer: a waste transfer note, or another document containing the same information (GOV.UK guidance). Tell us which records you need when you book, and we will confirm what we provide with your quote.

Commercial bin collection in Uxbridge and London

Commercial bin collection FAQs

Bin collection means emptying your business bins on a regular schedule. Bin removal means taking away an unwanted container itself. We quote for each separately.

Tell us whether you already have bins and what sizes they are. We discuss the container arrangements for your premises and set them out in your quote.

Collection frequency is agreed around how much waste your business produces, and can be reviewed with you if your waste levels change.

Only the waste agreed for each stream. We do not collect hazardous or prohibited waste such as asbestos, dangerous chemicals or other materials that need specialist disposal. Tell us about paint, gas bottles, tyres, fridges or electrical items before you book.

Contact us before your collection day and we will tell you whether the extra waste can be taken and confirm any charge.

The terms of your collection, including how long it runs and how to change or end it, are set out in your quote before you agree to anything.

Magnus Removals is a registered waste carrier (CBDU 642546). Tell us which records you need when you book, and we will confirm what we provide with your quote.

Construction and demolition waste is handled through our site clearance and builders waste removal service, not through regular bin collections.
